Hayden had his Spring Break the week of March 15th, and he was so ready for it. He is only in Kindergarten and already hates going to school. Well, I guess he hates getting up to go to school because he does fine once he gets there. Anyway - we didn't do too much on Monday and Tuesday - made some cookies, watched a movie (or two), played a few games. Then on Wednesday - the kids were starting to fight and drive me crazy, so since it was a fairly nice day - we went to the park.
Hayden and Kayla had fun playing on the slide......
and the merry-go-round.....
and the swings........
Katie enjoyed the swing too!!!
And that's pretty much all there is at Manassa's park, so when Hayden got tired of playing - he decided to take some pictures

The rest of our spring break was spent out of town. We (me, the kids, and Waylen's mom) left on Thursday morning and headed over to Colorado Springs. We got there around noon and went to the mall and did some shopping, then went over to Target and Ross, then the highlight of the day (for the kids) was going to Chucky E. Cheese. Waylen's brother, Ben, and his wife, met us there for dinner and I think Uncle Ben had has much fun as the kids did playing games. That night we stayed with Ben and Kaley, and woke up to it snowing. Of course, the one time in ages that we go somewhere it snows!!! So on Friday morning, we went down to Pueblo and stopped by Kohl's, then we went and ate at the Olive Garden (which was oh, so yummy -as always!!) and then did some more shopping (you know I had a million things on my need/want list). So after spending the day in Pueblo, we started to head home, but when I gave Waylen a call he said the pass was closed due to wrecks and visiablity. So we had Waylen priceline us a room, and we ended up getting the Marriott which was really nice. Hayden was really excited about staying in a hotel and both the kids were excited that they got to swimming, (after we made a trip back to Target to get them some swimming suits and swim tubes, which ended up being huuuuuuuge!!) They got to swim for about an hour or so, and had lots of fun playing with a family from our ward that was there too!!! We got up and left Pueblo around 8:30 on Saturday morning, and after a snack break in Walsenburg, a potty break in Fort Garland, and a detour back towards Fort Garland (because of a horrible accident) on our way to Alamosa, we finally made it home around noon. It was a lot of fun to get out of Manassa for a few days, even if it did snow!!! And that pretty much wraps it for our spring break.
