Yum-Yum!!

I had to make some cupcakes for the Halloween Party last night, and Kayla always loves helping clean up the mess!!

How to CARVE a PUMPKIN

You begin to carve a pumpkin by cutting a hole in the top, so then you can dig in and clean out all the "goo" and seeds.

After all the inside is cleaned out, and you have a design drawn on the
pumpkin, you begin carving away
until you're all done!!

The end result(s):
Easy as PUMPKIN PIE!!!

Hayden's New Picture Face

Hayden has recently changed his picture face (you know the cheesy grin or whatever you usually get when you take your kids' picture) from that of having his nose always wrinkled up to this:

Kayla's Fashion Statement

As most of you know, Kayla hates to keep her clothes on, and loves to stay busy by trying on all of her clothes (and Hayden's too). The other morning she went prancing around the house wearing this: If you can't tell- one arm is in a sleeve, while the other sleeve is occupied by a leg, and her other leg is through the neckhole. And of course, she had on one of Hayden's shoes!! Crazy girl!!
So, about a week ago, I was looking at one of my favorite websites -SugarDoodle- for preparing my sharing time for Primary. On this website, she has the "Random 10" which lists some really neat websites to check out. This month it listed a few blogs about hairstyles for your little girls. So, I checked them out, then some other ones too, and thought -Hey, I can give some of these a try!! Some turned out better (and have better parts) than others, and a lot of that depended on rather Kayla was sitting still or not. So these are some of the end results-
Found the idea for this one from She Does Hair.

Had to "redesign" a little of this one found at Jackie and Kassie's Sweet Hair Do's

This one didn't turn out quite like it should have -This one looks so nice and neat!!

I wanted to put this one into four braids (2 on top, 2 on bottom), and meet in the middle with a ponytail. But Kayla wasn't haven't a good sit still day, hence the crooked parts. Maybe next time!!

This was the result of another not sitting still day. She was done after the four ponies, so I decided to just pull it all into a messy bun. I thought it turned out to be cute!!

Happy Birthday Kayla!!

We just can't believe that our baby has turned two. Wow, how time flies!! We had Kayla's birthday party last night, and she stayed busy all night and most of today playing with all of her new toys. She got some dress-up clothes (including shoes and a couple of purses),

2 brooms & a mop (she's now all prepared to "help" me clean house),
a new quilt for her bed (made by Grandma Debby),

and a doll stroller and carrier, plus a few other things too, including a cute skirt with leggings
(will have to get a picture of it when she wears it)!!

--All in all, Kayla had a great 2nd birthday party. Here she is enjoying "her cake" while everyone else enjoyed strawberry shortcake.

Sugar, Anyone?

Last week, the kids, my MIL, and I went over to Pueblo for the day. We did some shopping and took Hayden to the dentist, which luckily went well, then our last stop was Sam's. My MIL was recently called to be the food storage specialist in our ward. So she has been taking monthly orders on various items and then picking up the items at Sam's. The items for September were brown sugar and powdered sugar. When she said the total order was over 100 bags, I didn't think much about it. --On the way home that night, several people kept flashing their lights at me, (thinking I had my brights on), but no the back of the car was weighed down just a little!!

532 pounds of sugar, to be exact!!!
