Earth Day Celebration
Hayden's preschool celebrated Earth Day today at school. They planted a tree and got to plant their own flower, had some "dirt with earthworms" to eat, and each class had made some birdfeeders and shared a song. Hayden had to put out his birdfeeder (pinecone with peanut butter and birdseed) right away when he got home.
He sang the song all the way home, so I had him sing it for a video.

Close Your Eyes
The other night, Hayden wanted Waylen to sing him a song before he went to sleep. So, Waylen's song went like this:
Hayden close your eyes, Close your eyes,
Dream of toys and butterflies.
Waylen said Hayden giggled a little, then got really quiet for a few minutes, so he thought he had fallen asleep. But then Hayden starts singing:
Daddy close your eyes, close your eyes,
Dream of tools and fixing things.
Like Father, Like Son
Hayden close your eyes, Close your eyes,
Dream of toys and butterflies.

Crazy Weather!!!
So, when I woke up this morning, and opened up the blinds to let in the sunshine, all I got was a snowy picture outside. Yes, can you believe that? Snow Again!!! The crazy weather of Colorado. On Monday it was almost in the 70's, and the kids and I spent most of the day outside. So, of course, I got spring fever, and was ready to break out all the shorts, capris, and sandals for me and the kids. But then, it was too good to be true. Tuesday and Wednesday were both nasty days with the beastly winds that we are so lucky to have. And now today, SNOW!!! Can it just hurry up and be summer? Oh, yeah, that doesn't happen until about July!!
When Hayden saw that it was snowing this morning, he said "Oh, it's Christmas time again!!!" And he also thought it was a good reason to stay home from school (he's had enough already). On Monday he told me, I don't have to go to school anymore. And I then had to disappoint him by telling him he still had a few more weeks. I think one reason (out of several) he's ready to be done is: During March, I had told him Papa Mike and Nana would be coming out to visit in 2 months after school gets out. And he kept telling everyone, Papa Mike and Nana are coming in 2 weeks, and I would tell him No, they are coming out in 2 months, when you are out of school. I'm just as anxious to see them and my brother's family as he is. The end of May just can't come soon enough. -- Anyways, I just had to "vent" about how crazy this weather is and how it is driving me crazy. You just never know what tomorrow will bring!!!

Priceless
Most of you are probably aware of the fact that Hayden doesn't care too much for his little sister. She likes to turn the T.V. off when he's watching cartoons and she likes to try to take his food or toys from him. All in all she just bugs him, and he doesn't like it. Although, the other day we were in Sears, and Kayla kept running away to hide. So, when we were leaving we told her bye, and acted like we were going to leave her. Hayden quickly responded with, "No, we can't leave Kayla." So, I think deep down he really does love her!! However when they both end up in our bed, Hayden gets bothered when Kayla gets anywhere near him. "Don't touch me Kayla", "Put her back in her bed", "Get away Kayla", and so on. And these are all said while they are both sound asleep. So, the other morning we were surprised to find them like this:
Hayden being Quiet and Kayla being Motionless = Priceless
