Why do I even bother to clean the house?

That is the question that I ask myself nearly everyday. Because not less than 30 minutes after I have the house cleaned, and all the toys put away, this is what we end up with:

And you may ask: Who's the culprit of all that mess? I'm pretty sure it's not Hayden -because as you can see he's busy watching T.V. So there's only one other person it could be. Give you a hint: She's small, but mighty!!

You guessed it, the one and only!! KAYLA - sitting on the couch eating her cereal acting like nothing ever happened!!

Picture Perfect Moment

I thought this picture was too cute not to share with everyone. The kids were enjoying a piece of Hayden's new favorite snack. Banana Bread!! Hayden has always loved bananas, but now he's learned that if he waits until they get black, then we can make banana bread, and he loves it!! And surprisingly, it turns out when I make it, --because I'm definitely no Betty Crocker when it comes to baking. Anyways, they were sitting there together (not fighting) and I had to capture the moment. Here lately, Hayden has started getting aggravated anytime that Kayla wants to eat or drink the same thing that he has. So, I was surprised that he wasn't complaining about Kayla having to have a piece of banana bread too!! Or that she had to have her hands on her face, just like he did!!

Good Hair Day?

The other day Kayla and I were at the store, and she was walking down the aisle checking out everything. She came bringing me a package of hair rollers, and I thought- sure let's get them and try them out. Well, she didn't like getting the rollers put in her hair. She was pretty upset by the time we finished. (Hayden captured the moment of me comforting Kayla!!) But when Hayden and Daddy started playing a game, she wanted to join in and was fine. She did really good to not mess with them for the rest of the night. But Kayla is a little wiggle worm in her sleep, so some of the rollers had loosened up during the night, while some surprisingly stayed. So, we ended up with it like this: I combed through it, and ended up pulling part of it up, and the end result was this: Definitely, not what I pictured it looking like, so I guess we'll have to give it another try again!! Better luck next time, right?

Take a Picture of Me

Hayden came to me the other day, and told me take a picture of him while wearing this:
Kayla kept saying, "Me, too!" and had to get in the picture too, and of course, she doesn't have any clothes on, Imagine That!! Afterwards, Hayden checked it out on the camera, and said "Perfect, I can add it to my Photobook." (Which I'm guessing is his scrapbook) He loves to look at his scrapbook and I'm glad that he enjoys it. It keeps me motivated to keep his and Kayla's books going. Kayla also loves looking at hers and when I'll ask her who it is in the picture, she'll say "Tiny baby." So, I guess my efforts are worth something.

Hayden's Field Trip to the Alligator Farm

Back in October, Hayden went on a field trip with his Pre-K class to the Alligator Farm. I went with him, but forgot to take my camera, and then I never did write about it for some reason. Probably because there's just not much to tell about the Alligator Farm. I had never been, so I thought well, I'll go and check it out with him. I guess since I grew up in "Swamp" country, I have some high expectations to the size of alligators. Yes, there were some "big ones" there as all the kids called them, but nothing like what the Okefenokee Swamp as to offer. Then, it was kind of weird that they had emus, goats, chickens, and other "farm" animals there too!! Anyways, the other day Hayden came home with this picture that one of the other moms had taken of him at the Alligator farm holding one of the baby gators.
It was such a cute picture I had to post it, he loved being able to hold the gator and liked seeing all of the alligators. --I guess next time we go back to GA we'll have to take him to the Swamp again, (we went when he was like 18 months) and he can see some REAL alligators and may even see one walking around in the parking lot again!!

Queen of Fashion

Kayla has never been one to keep her clothes on after I get her dressed. She'll sneak off into her room and find something else to put on, or she'll find something of Hayden's to wear, or she'll just want to run around in her panties. The other day she brought me a little tiny baby outfit, I'm not even sure where it came from, but she just had to wear it!! Then, the other day she ran around for at least an hour, with just her panties and one of Hayden's cowboy hats. She was running around and sitting on different things, saying "Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha"
And as we "speak" she is already out of her clothes and into a pair of Hayden's jammies!!

LIFE IS A HIGHWAY!!

As, most of you know, Hayden has had a pair of Lightning McQueen crocs for almost a year now. He just loves them so much, and they were always his shoes of choice. He even wanted to wear them to church a couple of times!! And lets just say they have had a million miles put on them, and it's time for them to retire!! Check them out, what do you think?

BUSTED!!!

One day last week, as I was busy getting ready, Kayla was busy also!! We had been putting some Eucerin cream on Kayla at night after her bath because her skin is like that of an alligator. So, she decided that her baby needed some lotion too!! Doesn't she just look so sweet and innocent?
