Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day isn't much of a celebrated holiday for us, as far as traditions go we don't have any. But last year and this year we did get the kids a new shirt ("borrowed" that idea from Melody). Last year, when I got the shirts, they were both Valentiney (you know with hearts and all), with Hayden's saying Heartbreaker on it with a big heart, and Kayla's had a heart too. This year, Waylen got the job of getting the shirts, so Hayden lucked out without getting another shirt with a heart on it. Of course, I had to take some pictures of the kids in their new shirts, Hayden had a silly grin for most of his:
And I had to chase Kayla around to get some pictures of her:
(Her shirt says: Princess -If the crown fits)
While I was getting Hayden ready for school this morning, Kayla discovered the Valentine suckers that were on the table, and helped herself to one. She managed to get it open and was all happy when I found her with it. I tried to take it away, but needless to say, she won that battle.
After Hayden got home from school, I was asking him about their party and if they had cookies to eat. And he said, (sniff, sniff) "No, cupcakes." I replied, "Oh, those are my favorite." He said, "not mine, I just wanted a corn dog." A few minutes earlier we had went by Grandma Debby's to drop Hailee off, and I told him "why don't you go in and tell Grandma, Happy Valentine's Day." And he said, "No, I just want to go home and have a corn dog." So, as you can tell, Hayden loves corn dogs (why, I'm not sure) and he's usually ready for one as soon as he gets out of school.

That is funny, the other day when I picked him up from school he talked about eating a corn dog all the way home.
