That is a great idea, Mom!!

Tonight when I was looking at Hayden's papers from school I noticed that he had written his "d" backwards in all of them.  So, I was asking him about it, and so he explains to me how he just can't make them since he learned how to write the number 6. --I had him try to write a d, and every time he would make a 6. It is just the weirdest thing, because he has been writing them just fine up until the last two days.  He was getting a little frustrated and I told him it was o.k. he would just have to keep practicing. --So anyway- we were looking at his papers, and he is telling me- we did the letter b a long time ago (which was on Tuesday) then the letter c today. So, I asked him -so what letter do you think you'll do tomorrow? and he said "d". I said - "Well, there you go, you'll be able to practice writing the letter d tomorrow." He got this big grin on his face and said "That is a great idea, Mom!!"-- I thought it was pretty funny, just because of the expression on his face, and he sounded so excited.  So it will be interesting to see how he does on his letter d tomorrow.

Speaking of Hayden and school, he is doing good.  Some mornings he says he doesn't want to go and it's not fun, etc. but his teacher has said that he is doing really good and that she wouldn't even guess that that is his attitude.  --He doesn't seem to be too thrilled with P.E. -we were asking him why he didn't like it and he told us "It uses all my energy!!" Of course, Hayden wouldn't like P.E., but he always comes home singing songs that they have learned in class or either in Music (which I think he likes a lot more than P.E!!) --I think deep down he really likes school because he loves to show us all of his work and tell us about things from school, but I think it's just the whole concept of getting up and going every day.  By the end of the week, he is just completly worn out (and so am I!!!)
