Field Trip to the Sand Dunes
Hayden's Pre-K class went on a Field Trip to the Sand Dunes last Thursday. It was nice for about the first 45 minutes, so the kids had fun playing in the water. But of course, since we live in the San Luis Valley, which I think has to be the windiest place on Earth, the wind started to blow. So, then the kids got cold, so they took a little break and sat wrapped in their towel and the blanket for a bit before putting their clothes back on and then they played in the sand for awhile with their cousin, Hailee. But by lunchtime, they ended up all wrapped up in their towels. So, they were glad when it was finally time for lunch. Hayden and Hailee rode home with me and Kayla and they all three crashed on the way home. Too bad it couldn't have been a nicer day because the kids could have had a lot of fun. When Hailee's mom asked her if she had fun, she said "No, not really, I got too much sand in my bum" And as you can tell from some of the pictures Hailee was lying right in the sand, and at point, I noticed one of Hailee's classmates covering her up with sand. Hayden said he had fun, but he just hates the wind, that's one thing that he loved about Georgia, there was no wind!! --Maybe we'll get a chance to take the kids camping to the Sand Dunes again this summer because they had a lot of fun last year when we went. But it just doesn't look like the wind is ever going to stop blowing this year!!

You'll have to let me know next time you go and I can take my kids too. Ethan loves to play with Hayden!
