Ward Camp Out

We had a ward camp out last weekend, and it was a lot of fun. There weren't very many people there, but the ones who did go enjoyed it. We (me and the kids)went up on Friday afternoon with Waylen's parents, then Waylen came up when he got off of work. One of the best things about this camping trip was that we didn't have to worry about taking a lot of food and/or cooking our meals. They provided the dinner on Friday night (hamburgers and really yummy fries) and breakfast Saturday morning (breakfast burritos). --Friday night after dinner, they had a scavenger hunt and then we spent the rest of the evening sitting around the campfire visiting and roasting marshmallows, while Kayla stayed busy playing in the dirt and getting really dirty with her friends, Reese and JD. Then on Saturday after breakfast, we went on a little hike down to the creek, and then visited with everyone for awhile and enjoyed some tasty watermelon before packing up and coming home. It was a quick trip up and back, but like I said, it was a lot of fun.
