3 months to go.....but who's counting???

Just thought I would do a quick post on how my pregnancy is going. I am doing good, although the aches and pains that usually accompany the last few months have arrived, and they seem much worse with this baby. Not sure if it is because I am a couple of years older (and over 30), have two other kids that I am having to tend to (and sometimes having to lift and carry Kayla around), or if it could be because I am carrying her (the baby) so low. It just seems like some days, my lower back just aches all day long, and I am like an old lady when I get up from lying down or sitting down and start walking. And I still have 3 months to go!!!! --Now, that I have vented about all my aches and pains, I guess I will move on. We are all (the kids included, and yes Hayden too!!) getting excited and anxious for her to arrive.

I think Hayden has finally learned to live with the fact that he will have another sister, and he has developed his own theory on it: Since it's a girl, he won't have to share his toys!!! A few days ago, he told me he wanted me to go to the hospital, so I could come home with the baby. Yeah, wish it were that easy!! Hey, I'm ready, do you have my baby ready!! Then, he just keeps saying that he is ready for the baby to get here, so that we can get out all of the baby stuff. He has tried feeling the baby kick, but she never seems to kick when he is trying to feel it. But he has "talked" to her a few times, it is so cute!!

Then, there's Kayla!! She is just ready for "her" baby to get here, so she can hold her. The other day, Waylen said something to her about him holding the baby, and she said "No, after me!!" Then this morning, she was telling me that Daddy doesn't get to hold the baby. And she's always telling us that she wants a baby "like J.D's" (J.D is one of her friends from church, and he has a new little sister). She is also always telling us that the baby will eat milk. One time Waylen asked her Where is the baby going to get her milk? and Kayla responded with "From the Fridge." Then another time when asked where the baby will get milk, she said "In a tup (which is a cup)." Then, she has started saying that Santa will bring "her baby", so I'm not sure if she is saying that she wants a baby doll, or if she means the baby!! --My niece went to Georgia to visit her grandparents, and while there, she had her Grandma make the baby a blanket. So, when she got home, she gave me this blanket for the baby, but Kayla wanted it and kept calling it "her Dora" (it has little fairies on it, and one of them has short, dark colored hair like Dora) blanket. She was pretty upset when we wouldn't let her carry it around that night, so her Grandma Debby told her that she would make her a Dora blanket. Needless to say, Grandma Debby did make Kayla a Dora blanket, and she looooves it!! One day, she was talking to me about the baby coming, and I asked her: Are you going to share your toys? and She politely responded with, "Yes." Are you going to share your babies? "yes" Are you going to share your Dora blanket? She quickly responded with: "No, she has her own blankee!!" I guess she has to have her limitations of how nice she will be!!!

It is exciting to see the kids talk about the baby and how they are ready for her to get here. I am anxious to see how they will act and how they will feel when she finally arrives and they meet her for the first time. And, I'm sure once she gets here, the newness will wear off pretty quick!!! Hayden was already informing Kayla this morning that the baby will cry a lot!! So, that is how things are going with the anticipation of our upcoming arrival!!!

kids are too funny. They say what they think so I guess if we don't want to know we should not ask. The things they say are so funny and the way the anticipate things. Good luck with the new baby they kids will do great I am sure.
