BCHS '97

1. Did you marry someone from your high school? No

2. Did you car pool to school? No

3. What kind of car did you have? I don't remember the year - Chevrolet Corsica

4. What kind of car do you drive now? 2005 Dodge Durango (yeah, it's got a Hemi!!)

5. It's Friday night, where are you then? Probably "cruising" around Waycross with friends, or at a movie with friends

6. It's Friday night, where are you now? At home with the kids

7. What kind of job did you have in high school? My senior year I did work-release and worked in the afternoon as the secretary at the Bus Garage for Brantley County Schools (It was actually a really fun job!! All of the bus drivers were hilarious!!)

8. What do you do now? Stay-at-home Mom

9. Were you a party animal? I went to some parties, but I never "partied", I was always the "DD"

10. Were you considered a flirt? Maybe!!

11. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? No, have you ever heard me sing!! And my ability to learn to play an instrument is about as good as my singing ability!!

12. Did you get suspended/expelled? No, but there was this one girl that had started talking trash about me and my ex-boyfriend (who she was dating) and I had had enough. I confronted her and was ready to fight, but some of my friends kept me from fighting her by calming me down and telling me she just wasn't worth the fight. --There was a rule our senior year that if we got in trouble with fighting, skipping schools, etc. that we would not be able to participate in a lot of the senior activities, plus if you went without missing more than 3 days of a school you didn't have to take your finals for that semester. So, consequently if you got in a fight, you got suspended and had to take finals.

13. Can you sing the fight song? What? We had a fight song!!

14. Who was your favorite teacher? That's a hard one, there were several - Mr. Jacob's, Coach Smith (it was an Economics class, which we never discussed), Ms. Laura, and Mrs. Thrift

15. Where did you sit during lunch? In the lunchroom (we had a closed-campus). Usually sat with the same group of friends everyday, we all left after lunch on the work-release program or if I didn't eat would just hang out on the "court" until it was time to go to work.

16. What was your school's full name? Brantley County High School

17. What was your school mascot? O.k. don't laugh at this one!! It was a Heron!! We were known as the Brantley County Herons (or as some people called us "Pond-Scoggins") Maybe that's why our football team was never very fierce like the Gators, Bulldogs, Bears, and Pirates because we were a BIRD!!

18. If you could go back and do it again, would you? No, thank you!! I had some good/fun times in high school, but not enough to want to do it again!! Plus, that would mean I would have to be a teenager again!! Too Much Drama!!

19. What do you remember about graduation? It had rained for a few days prior to graduation night, and they had thought about moving it indoors to the gym which would have meant that each graduate would have only been given so many tickets for family members to attend. And it would've been really crowded (my brother's graduation ended up that way, and it was packed shoulder-to shoulder), so we didn't want that to happen to US!! The rain held off the day of graduation, so they went ahead with plans to have it outside at the football field (remember the south is football country, so we had more seating than Centauri's field does)!! Anyhow, it ended up raining again, it would sprinkle, then stop, then pour, then sprinkle, then stop, and so on during the whole graduation.

20. Are you planning on going to your 20 year class reunion? Not sure! I had thought about going to my 10 year, but it wasn't where I could go when they had it. I had already made one trip back to GA that year. So, I don't know, I may decide to try to get to my 20 year.

21. Do you still talk to people from high school? Well, I keep in touch with some through myspace and facebook. I have been able to find some that I haven't seen since high school. It's kind of neat to find people and see how they are doing.
