Christmas 2011

Surprisingly, Santa brought presents for the kids -
Can you tell that Hayden was excited about his present from Santa?
His first gun!!!
Santa brought Kayla a DSi, some games, and accessories -
Katie loved the new kitchen that she got from Santa....

and the play food....

and a cooking set too!!

******************************************************************
The kids also loved the presents that they got from us.

When Hayden opened the present that had new clothes in it, he seemed a little bummed. Then he noticed it was an Angry Birds shirt and was thrilled. He even made the comment - "I knew it was new clothes for school, but I didn't know it was going to be this cool."

He was so happy when he realized that this present was a remote control helicopter that he had been dying to have!

Cars 2 background info: We had gotten this movie through our Blockbuster Movie Pass, and we watched it, and then Hayden had wanted to watch it again before we sent it back. Well, he was so mean for the next couple of days before school and after school that he never did get to watch again!!--So when he got the movie for Christmas (which I had purchased before we had even rented the movie) he responded with something like "Now, I'll have it forever!!"
He was also very excited to get something else that he had been wanting for forever - Club Penguin DS game

Kayla didn't show quit the excitement  over her presents as Hayden did (or at least in the pictures), but she still loved them all.
Although, she did love her clothes right from the start - must be because she's a girl!!

Kayla has never been a movie/TV watcher like Hayden. But The Lion King has always been one of my favorite movies, so I got it for her. She seemed happy with it, and has actually watched it several times since Christmas. She loves the monkey!!
Kayla didn't have as many "I want that" items as Hayden did, but every time we would go into JC Penny's she would ask if she could have one of these puppy purses. So she was pretty excited to see that she had gotten one for Christmas.
Katie loved her puppy purse too! Can you say "Little Miss Attitude?"

Katie is like Hayden - and loves to watch movies and TV, and she loves "dog dogs", so we got her the Fox and the Hound movie.

Katie enjoyed opening all of her presents, and really took her time on each one, and didn't want any help from anyone.

So there's a peek into what our Christmas of 2011 was like, and I'm sure it will be Christmas again before we know it!! Time just seems to fly by these days!!
