She was a little shy when we started singing "Happy Birthday" to her. She wouldn't look at anyone, or even blow out her candles, and that morning when we had sang to her she said "and then I blow out my candles!!"
But after everyone left and the cake was pretty much all gone, she decided she wanted us to sing to her. She even sang along this time and blew out her candle.
She loved all of her presents, which along with the Dora presents included dress-up clothes, ColorWonder markers and paper, plus Color Wonder fingerpaints, coloring book, and art supplies, and an art desk. She had plenty to play with and keep her busy the rest of the afternoon, and she didn't want to go to bed last night. She had to paint one more picture before going to bed. And now this morning she is already in her dress-up clothes and pulling her Dora backpack around, and carrying her Dora blanket.
Here she is showing off one of her dress-up outfits and Dora backpack:
Our little artist:
And that is about it for her little celebration. It's hard to believe that she is 3, and will be moving out of the nursery at church to Primary in January, and that this time next year she will be able to attend Pre-school. She just isn't our little baby anymore, and I know she'll seem really grown up in just a matter of weeks when the baby arrives. --She is such a blessing in our lives and is our sweet little princess!! We love you Kayla (even though you love to literally kick at least either Mama or Daddy out of bed every night)!!
